Nextra Solutions Grows, Welcomes New Director
Angela O’Neal to lead established team of information management professionals
Nextra Solutions, an end-to-end information management service provider, is proud to announce the addition of Angela O’Neal as Director. Skilled in the entire eDiscovery process, with nearly two decades of experience as a litigator and NCAA investigator, O’Neal will oversee a team of seasoned information management professionals.
“O’Neal’s resume only begins to shed light on her work ethic and commitment to excellence and we are thrilled she’s bringing her talents to Nextra Solutions,” said Leighton Lord, Chairman of Nexsen Pruet. “The demand for Nextra Solutions’ offerings, from both in-house and outside counsel, continues to grow, and we look forward to watching Angela take the company to the next level.”
After earning her law degree from the University of Tennessee, O’Neal worked as a civil litigator, Assistant Director of Enforcement for the NCAA, and assistant athletics director at the University of Kentucky and the University of South Carolina. She also served as a contract attorney and team lead at a national electronic discovery firm, charged with facilitating efficient and consistent document productions.
“I’m excited to be joining such an innovative team,” O’Neal said. “The demands of eDiscovery are changing on a daily basis, and the group at Nextra Solutions has the experience and abilities needed to meet and exceed client expectations.”
O’Neal will lead a team experienced in assisting corporations, government agencies and law firms in managing information, enhancing information security and mitigating risk. Nextra Solutions provides eDiscovery, information governance, information security, and technology and IT consulting services.
David Black, a litigator based in Nexsen Pruet’s Columbia, South Carolina office and leader of the firm’s Business & Commercial Litigation group, will serve as Managing Member of Nextra Solutions. “Nextra Solutions was launched based on the needs of our clients,” said Black. “With Angela’s outstanding leadership and experience, we are able to provide next level service to the technology solutions we offer.”
“I’m hoping to be an agent of growth,” O’Neal said. “The team already has a great blend of knowledge, experience and vision for delivering the best solutions for our clients. Nextra Solutions’ future is very bright.”
Before joining Nextra Solutions, O’Neal has served as the Director of Operations for INNERSOLE, the non-profit organization led by the University of South Carolina Women’s Basketball Coach Dawn Staley. She is at home in South Carolina, but looks forward to working with clients throughout the country.
